HEMPEL GLOBIC

Commercial-grade antifouling, on a pleasure boat.

For fiberglass and wooden hulls, trailered or not.

This is a ship coating

Globic is not a consumer bottom paint with a yacht label on the tin. It is Hempel commercial marine antifouling — the range that goes on working ships.

Chemically hydrolysing, self-polishing, built for hulls whose owners measure fouling in fuel bills.

There is one grade imported into the United States. So there is exactly one Globic your boat can have, and it is the one we put on.

Fiberglass and wood. Never metal.

Globic goes on fiberglass and wooden hulls, whether or not the boat trailers.

It never goes on aluminium or steel. Copper is cathodic to aluminium, and in salt water a copper-bearing antifouling makes your hull the anode.

If your hull is metal, we have a page for that.

One coat, done right

One coat, applied properly, is what your boat needs. We put it on to the correct film thickness and it does the job for the season.

What we do about the bottom underneath

Every haul-out is pressure washed. It is not an optional extra — a coating goes onto a clean hull or it does not go on properly.

If your hull has never been painted, bare gelcoat will not hold antifouling on its own. It needs a proper primer build first, and that build uses more material than the colour coat does. We will quote it honestly.

WRITTEN WARRANTY

We provide a 12-month performance warranty.

Not just that the work was done right. That the coating does what we said it would. Haul-out and relaunch included, and it transfers to the next owner if you sell.

Ask your current yard about their performance warranty.

Tell us the boat.

We will tell you what it costs.
