RV painting & fiberglass repair
A yacht finish for your RV
Seventy feet of climate‑controlled spray booth, inside a hundred‑and‑twenty‑foot building. The same booth, the same crew and the same standard we hold on yachts.
The longest coach ever built is forty‑five feet.
The booth
Paint is a process, not a product
Dust, temperature and humidity decide whether a finish still looks right in five years. The only way to control all three is indoors, in a booth built for it.
- 70 feet standard, inside a 120 by 90 foot building
- Climate controlled — the same conditions we hold for a topside job on a yacht
- Room to open every bay door, run the slides out and work the whole coach
Spraying a vehicle this size outdoors is not an option in Washington. The question was never indoors or out. It is what kind of indoors.
The finish
Three systems, and we tell you which one
Most shops spray what they stock. We specify, the same way we do on a hull.
Imron
Axalta’s polyurethane, and the finish heavy‑duty truck, bus and rail manufacturers have specified for decades. Imron Elite is built for RVs — corrosion protection, resistance to chemicals and weathering, graffiti performance, shock and impact. For a coach that lives outside and works hard, this is the answer.
Awlcraft 2000 and 3000
Acrylic urethane from the marine side, and the reason to choose it is repairability. Stone chips and parking‑lot damage buff out to a repair you cannot find, because the new coat melts into the layer beneath it during wet sanding. If you intend to keep the coach a long time, this is the one that stays perfect.
Awlgrip
The finish, where gloss retention matters more than spot repair. A show coach, a concours restoration, a coach that will not be parked under trees.
Tell us how you use it and we will tell you which one it should have.
Structure
Fiberglass, delamination and the things that are not paint
An RV is a fiberglass structure with gelcoat over it. That makes it the same work we do on boats, with none of the mystery.
- Delamination — sidewalls that have let water in behind the skin
- Water intrusion at seams, windows and the roof line
- Front and rear cap damage, impact and stress cracking
- Gelcoat crazing and oxidised, chalked finishes
- Structural fiberglass repair by a crew trained through six levels of it
Repaired properly, then finished properly, in one place.
Why the yard
The part that decides whether a finish lasts
Our applicators are certified through ESI University in the things that actually determine the life of a coating: wet film thickness measured with a gauge, correct pot life, correct overcoat windows, correct conditions.
We warrant our paint work in writing. Ask the next shop for theirs.
