A repower is not an engine swap
The engine is the part you order. The job is everything around it: beds, alignment, shaft or sail drive, exhaust, controls and instrumentation, fuel system, wiring, and whatever has to come apart to get the old one out and the new one in. On most boats that means fiberglass work, metal fabrication and electrical in the same job as the mechanical work.
All of those trades are ours, under one roof. Nothing in the schedule waits on a subcontractor’s calendar, and nobody hands the boat between shops mid-job.

What moves the number
Two boats of the same length can be a long way apart, and the engine itself is often the smaller half of it. This is what we are looking at when we quote, so you can read ours and anyone else’s with the same eye.
- Access. What has to come apart to get the old engine out, and what has to be rebuilt afterwards.
- The beds. Whether they take the new engine as they are, or have to be modified or rebuilt.
- Shaft or sail drive, and the alignment work that goes with it.
- Exhaust, controls and instrumentation. Rarely a straight swap.
- The fuel system — tankage, lines, filtration, and what condition it is in.
- Electrical. Harness, panel, charging and whatever else is being brought up to date at the same time.
